Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $24-27/hr
Responsibilities
- Assist with all on/offboarding needs through the company’s HRIS system, including background checks, auditing and processing new hire paperwork, e-Verify, etc.
- Prepare and maintain personnel files on each active/terminated employee to ensure legal compliance
- Administration of benefits, including monitoring employee eligibility, providing assistance during enrollment sessions, and enrolling employees
- Provide HR support to employees and managements in a variety of areas related to human resources including employee relations, FMLA, ADA, unemployment claims, etc.
- Assist with ensuring compliance in all areas of human resources
- Participate in HR Team responsibilities, including assisting with projects and correspondence, and assisting with employee event planning initiatives
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development
- Handle employment-relation complaints through problem solving and investigation
- Manage training and development plans for employees on specific training depending on position
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Qualifications
- 2+ yrs of experience in human resources
- Ability to travel in-between dealerships (within a 2-hour range), as needed
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll processing and Google Workspace / MS Office preferred, but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
